Hi everyone,
We're just dropping a line to say that we've arrived back in Quito after our wonderful time at the El Pahuma Reserva with the Lima family. We said our sad goodbyes today, and jumped on the bus back into the Big Smoke.
Hope everyone is well, and promise to send some more updates with more details of our time there soon.
Cheers!

El Pahuma
Hello everyone!
Greetings from Nanegalito, about 25 minutes from the El Pahuma Orchid Reserve, where we are staying and working at the moment (about 2 hours northeast of Quito). Having an absolute ball, it's amazingly beautiful (though wet and old at times) here, and the Lima family who are looking after us are wonderful. And we've been taken out to a disco and to watch the big Ecuador-Chile football game on TV in town (Ecuador 1 - Chile 0). Cool!
Not very frequent internet connection, though (here in Nanegalito on an afternoon off!), and no electricity or phone, and entertainingly intermittent hot water...
Hope you all are great, will write more and post some photos when we have more internet time.
Cheers!

Quito!
Hi everyone,
Tonight we arrived in Quito, Ecuador, on our way to do some volunteering in the cloud forests to the north. We're a bit short of breath - flying from sea level to 2800 metres - and staying on the 3rd floor of the hostel...
Made ourselves a fairly uninspiring tuna pasta for dinner, and think we'll turn in pretty early.
More adventures to come!
