Torino continued!

Paul and the Toro - you scuff him for luck...

The long-suffering Toro.

Torino, epicentre of baby haute couture. Disturbing.

Towards the end of the day after visiting Donatella, we had a stroll through the beautiful springtime displays at Parco Valentino.

We also visited a replica medieval village (built circa 1800s). Complete with beastes to frighten away any would-be intruder and instructive dance fresco.

We finished off with a wonderful home-cooked dinner at Maria-Teresa and Chicca's house. On display here - local specialties of angnolotti, grissini and, of course, some vino from their friends' vines.

Torino 2

We continue our tour around Torino with Chicca, visiting the city's Roman origins, and Torino's amazing Egyptian Museum housing countless artefacts amassed by the ambassador to Egypt in the 1800s.

Torino 1

Hello everyone! We're back...

Torino, April 22-24.
The next stop in our adventure! After San Benedetto del Tronto, we caught the train across to Torino for a bit. Here we were met by Maria-Teresa and Chicca, Graziella's sister and niece. We were shown around town, ate traditional 'Farinata' chickpea-flour pizza, and Mariia-Teresa served up some amazing traditional Torronese fare.
